Electra joins global Electronic Transactions Association

The Electra Project was recently accepted as a member to the prestigious Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) trade association based in Washington, D.C. ETA was founded in 1990 to support and represent companies offering electronic transaction processing, products and services.
Today, ETA represents more than 500 companies in 30 countries by helping to “influence, monitor and shape the payments industry by providing leadership through education, advocacy and the exchange of information.” Many of the world’s largest merchants and payment gateways are members of ETA including; Amazon, Apple, Authorize.net, Barclays, Capital One, Chase, Goldman Sachs, Google, Intuit, Microsoft, PayPal and Square.

Electra’s unique blockchain payment technology was developed for superior security, extreme speed and leading energy efficiency following the results of a 5-year study at the U.S. National Institute of Science and Technology.
Electra’s membership and collaborative partnership with the ETA and its members provides new opportunities for Electra including access to established networks and resources, workgroups and international best practices.
Working with ETA and its members will help Electra with its ambitious, but achievable, goal of becoming the world’s most secure, stable and reliable payment currency for all people of all nations. The Electra Project team is currently in the process of reaching out to ETA members to begin networking and developing mutually beneficial partnerships for the mass adoption of Electra and the future of payments.
